The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in the Eurozone (EA19) stood at 7.4% in September, declining 0.1 percentage points compared to the month prior, according to Eurostat's report released on Wednesday. Year-over-year, the figure decreased by 1.2 percentage points, APA reports citing Teletrader.
In the entire European Union (EU27), the jobless rate was 6.7%, 0.2 percentage points down on a monthly basis and one percentage point lower than in September 2020.
Among member states, the unemployment rate was the highest in Spain at 14.6%, while Czechia registered the lowest reading of 2.6%.
