COVID-19 cases in Ukraine reach 5,601

Ukraine has confirmed 5,106 coronavirus cases, including 133 deaths and 275 recoveries, APA reports citing Ukrinform.

“In Ukraine, 52,534 samples were tested for novel coronavirus infection by PCR method. On April 17, 444 reports on new confirmed cases were received," the Public Health Centre posted on Facebook.

Some 3,371 patients, including 225 children, undergo outpatient treatment. Some 1,735 people have been hospitalized, including 77 children.

133 people died from complications related to the disease, including 71 men and 62 women. Among those deceased were mostly people over the age of 50 (87%).

At the same time, 275 people in Ukraine, including 13 children, have already recovered as a repeated laboratory test detected no virus.
