European Council's President Charles Michel has tested negative for the coronavirus twice and is readying the postponed EU summit after exiting quarantine, his spokesman Barend Leyts announced on Twitter on Friday, APA reports citing Teletrader.

"The Eucopresident today tested negative for COVID after a negative test on Monday. The President is no longer in quarantine and continues preparing the special European Council of October 1 and 2 EUCO," Leyts tweeted.

On Tuesday, the summit has been delayed for next week and Michel went into quarantine after a member of his security staff tested positive for COVID-19.
