In order to prevent spread of coronavirus, Georgia has tightened the procedures of entry into the country’s territory through land borders, APA’s local bureau reports citing the relevant decision adopted by the Inter-institutional Coordination Council lead by Georgia’s Prime Minister.

Based on the decision, from now on, it will be possible to enter the country’s territory through the land way only from “Sinig Korpu” (Azerbaijan-Georgia), “Sadakhli” (Georgia-Armenia), “Sarp” (Georgia-Turkey) and “Kazbegi” (Georgia-Russia) border crossing points.

Note that beginning from March 21, the state of emergency has been announced in Georgia. So far 77 coronavirus infection cases have been confirmed on the country’s territory.
