European Central Bank (ECB) President Christine Lagarde said on Thursday that it is still unclear how badly the economy has been affected by the coronavirus pandemic and lockdowns, APA reports citing Tele Trader.
Lagarde noted that the ECB must take all measures it can to deal with the "shock" the outbreak caused and cited a second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic as one of the bank's biggest concerns.
Earlier, the ECB warned in its annual report for 2019 that the euro area GDP could fall between 5% and 12% in 2020 due to the COVID-19 impact.
