Quarantine restrictions lifted in Georgia

The quarantine restrictions have been lifted in Mestia Municipality today, September 2. The Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia announced the decision on August 26, APA reports citing Georgian Journal.

Mestia Municipality has been placed under quarantine restrictions on 10 August due to an increase in coronavirus cases and a difficult epidemiological situation. The decision was made after 17 cases of coronavirus were detected simultaneously in the municipality.

Thermoscreening and population testing were carried out in the municipality throughout the quarantine period.
