Ukraine has recorded 14,984 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 1,936,228, APA reports citing UKRINFROM.
"Some 14,984 new cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) have been recorded in Ukraine as of April 17, 2021. Some 606 children and 276 health workers have fallen ill. As many as 9,736 people have recovered," Health Minister Maksym Stepanov posted on Facebook.
Stepanov said that 440 deaths and 4,100 hospitalizations were registered in Ukraine on April 16.
The highest number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours was recorded in Kyiv city (1,112), Kharkiv region (1,386), Dnipropetrovsk region (1,169), Odesa region (1,097), and Kyiv region (965).
According to the minister, 13,044 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 on April 16.
