Afghan government returns Taliban-held territories back

In Afghanistan, defense and security forces of government say that they have regained control of all areas held by the Taliban, said government security and defense official, General Acmal Shinvari in a press conference, APA reports citing RIA Novosti.

“We have prepared a plan to return our lost territories back. The Taliban's claims of seizing control of the ongoing war areas are untrue. All areas previously occupied by the Taliban have come under government control,” he noted.

According to him, over the past three days, government forces have conducted 98 operations in 25 provinces, killing 1,369 Taliban militants.
