Cavusoglu reveals issues, supported by Turkey at NATO meeting

Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlut Cavusoglu has joined meeting of NATO Foreign Ministers today, Turkish Foreign Ministry told APA's bureau in Turkey.

Discussions have been held at the meeting on preparations for NATO Leaders' Summit in 2021 and the NATO-2030 decisions, planned to be adopted at the Summit, other issues on the agenda of the Alliance. At the same time, An exchange of views has been conducted on the issues related to the security of the Euro-Atlantic region.

M. Cavusoglu said that Turkey supported the efforts of NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg in the context of the NATO-2030 decisions. Turkish FM noted he believes that the decisions will further strengthen the Union, as well as Transatlantic relations by confirming in today's strategic environment.

He also supported the opinions of the Secretary-General on NATO's role in the future of Afghanistan.
