"Everything is open" in Portugal as it gets ready to welcome UK tourists from Monday, Portugal's secretary of state for tourism has said, APA reports citing BBC.
Portugal is on the UK's "green" list for unrestricted travel from next week, but coronavirus is still causing concern there and the country has extended its state of calamity to 30 May. Rita Marques said that everything had been open since 1 May, including restaurants, coffee shops and retail.
"Some restrictions apply, of course, so you have to wear a mask, you have to maintain social distancing.
"At the end of the day, the experience will be great."
She said masks were worn "indoors and outdoors", adding: "Masks need to be used all day long, except when you are on the beach, of course."
