Ukraine has recorded 4,606 new coronavirus cases over the past day, bringing the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 2,179,988, APA reports citing Ukrinform.
"Some 4,606 new cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) were recorded in Ukraine as of May 22, 2021. In particular, 269 children and 108 health workers contracted COVID-19," the Ukrainian Health Ministry reported on Facebook.
According to the report, 178 deaths, 12,586 recoveries and 1,665 hospitalizations were registered in Ukraine in the last day.
Since the beginning of the pandemic in Ukraine, 49,279 deaths and 1,941,625 recoveries have been recorded.
The highest number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours was registered in Dnipropetrovsk region (438), Kharkiv region (371), Lviv region (344), Donetsk region (334), and Kyiv region (303).
