Ukraine reports 6,796 new coronavirus cases

Ukraine has recorded 6,796 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 2,150,244.
"Some 6,796 new cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) have been recorded in Ukraine as of May 15, 2021. Some 347 children and 233 health workers have fallen ill," Health Minister Maksym Stepanov posted on his Facebook page, APA reports citing Ukrinform.

According to Stepanov, 322 deaths, 2,197 hospitalizations, and 17,202 recoveries were registered in Ukraine on May 14.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 2,150,244 people in Ukraine have contracted coronavirus, 1,849,803 have recovered, and 47,942 have died.

The highest number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours was recorded in Kyiv city (544), Kharkiv region (630), Dnipropetrovsk region (518), Donetsk region (480), and Lviv region (432).

Some 23,638 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 in Ukraine on May 14.

As many as 936,499 people have been vaccinated against coronavirus since the beginning of the vaccination campaign in Ukraine.
