Coronavirus vaccination certificates have been approved by the permanent representatives of the 27 countries of the European Union (EU), APA reports quoting the statement issued by the EU Council in Brussels on Friday.
It was noted that the Committee of Permanent Representatives of the Council on May 21 unanimously supported the political agreement reached with the European Parliament on May 20 on the European digital certificate COVID.
Vaccine certificates will be valid in all EU countries from July 1.
The certificate will be provided free of charge in digital and paper format with a QR code.
The certificate contains 3 categories of information: name of the vaccine, coronavirus infection dates, recovery dates and test results.
President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen said at the Global Health Summit in Rome on Friday that not all EU countries are ready to use the digital certificate: "We have launched this mechanism, but not all countries are ready for it, and other countries need to get acquainted with this mechanism."
