Azerbaijan’s trade turnover with EU countries increases by 2%

In January-March of this year, the volume of the trade turnover conducted by Azerbaijan with the European Union (EU) countries made up $ 3,179,330.4 thousand which is $ 59,022.3 thousand or 1.9 % more as compared with the same period of 2019, says the results of the calculation conducted by "APA-Economics" pn the basis of the indicators issued by the State Customs Committee.

In the reporting period, as compared with the same period of 2019, the volume of export increased by 1 % and amounted to $ 2,649,036.6 thousand, while the volume of the import increased by 6.9% and stood at $ 530,293.7 thousand.

In the initial three months of the current year, the positive trade balance in the amount of $ 2,118,742.9 thousand developed which is $ 9,842.4 thousand or 0.5% less than the similar indicator for the same period of 2019.
