Azerbaijan increased car import by 65% last year

47 710 cars were imported to Azerbaijan in 2019, which is 65.2% more in comparison to 2018, according to the calculations of APA-Economics based on the reports published by the State Customs Committee.

43 156 cars envisaged for transporting passengers and other motor vehicles were imported to the country last year. This indicator has increased by 65% in comparison to 2018.

Moreover, 3 780 (64.3% more in comparison to 2018) motor vehicles for transportation of cargo, 547 motor vehicles with the capacity of transporting 10 people or more including driver (increase about 84.1%), and 227 special purpose motor vehicles were imported to the country in 2019.
