The protection systems and design of the currency notes with nominal value of 1, 5 and 50 manats have been renewed by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) in the framework of the existing concept by applying the latest technologies and innovations, the CBA told APA-Economics.
The currency notes with nominal value of 1, 5 and 50 manats that have renewed design and advanced protection systems will be released to turnover from January 1, 2021.
“The currency notes with nominal value of 1, 5 and 50 manats being in turnover currently will remain in circulation in parallel with the renewed currency notes and will be used without limitation as a means of turnover. Thereby, our renewed currency notes will continue to remain in the class of the most secure banknotes in the international practice for its artistic and esthetic appearance and protection level”, the CBA stated.
RollingStar Lead hologram (moving in 3D effect, changing its color), miraculous Spark Live element (images radiating the dynamic light effect and changing its color), watermark (when currency note is held under light, the State Emblem of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the digital image of relevant nominal value is seen), the recognition element for people with eyesight disability (special protuberant lines are situated on right and left edges of the front side of the currency notes for people with eyesight disability and by touching these lines, the originality and nominal value of the currency note can be determined), vertical design (back side of currency notes is designed vertically according to the most up-to-date worldwide trend in the area of banknote production), protection thread, inkless printing, micro-texts, etc. have been applied in the renewed currency notes with nominal value of 1, 5 and 50 manats as the latest protection elements.
Currently, the processes of adaptation of all cash money systems and equipment used on the country’s territory to the renewed currency notes with nominal value of 1, 5 and 50 manats have been started.
