Negative balance of Georgia trade turnover with Azerbaijan decreased by 33% last year

Last year, the volume of Georgia's foreign trade turnover with Azerbaijan amounted to $ 1 057 839,6 thousand and this is 3,4 % or $ 36 936,9 thousand less than compared to 2018, according to report by the Georgian National Statistics Office based on preliminary calculations, APA’s Georgian bureau reports.

Last year this figure was $ 1 094 776,5 thousand.

In 2019, Georgia imported $ 559 130,2 thousand worth of goods and products from Azerbaijan and this is 5,7 % less than compared to 2018.

Georgia's exports to Azerbaijan amounted to $ 498 709,4 thousand. This is 0,7 % less compared to the same period of 2018.

As a result, a negative balance of $ 60 420,8 thousand generated at Georgia's trade turnover with Azerbaijan and this decreased 33,4% in the annual expression. Last year, negative balance was $ 90 691,7 thousand.
