“A new type of coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has hit unprecedently global economic development, trade flows and social security, but at present the problems of economic development and trade flows are not a priority among the problems we are solving,” said Azerbaijani Finance Minister at webinar on "Outcomes and Development Path" organized by the Central Asian Regional Economic Cooperation Program (CAREC) in the framework of the 53rd Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), APA-Economics reports.

According to the Azerbaijani Minister, during the COVID-19 pandemic, the countries of the CAREC region are primarily fighting the pandemic to ensure human health and safety, and are taking the necessary steps in this direction: “That is why the problems of economic development and trade flows do not come first.”
