UN: Growth rate of GDP to be 2.5% in Azerbaijan - FORECAST

United Nations (UN) forecasts that the growth rate of Azerbaijani economy will be 2.5% this year, while 2.6% in 2021, APA-Economics reports citing new forecasts, published by the UN.

In general, the average indicator of growth rate in CIS countries will be 2.3% this year, 2.4% in 2021.

The highest GDP growth rates among the mentioned countries are expected in Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. It is expected that in 2020, the GDP growth rates in these countries will be 5.7% and 5.6% correspondingly, and in the next year – 5.5% and 5.2% correspondingly.

And the slowest growth rate forecast among CIS countries was awarded to Russia by the UN. In the neighbor country, the GDP growth rate is forecasted to be 1.8% this year, and 2% in 2021.
