Volume of direct foreign investments from Azerbaijan to Georgia sharply decreased

The volume of direct foreign investments made from Azerbaijan to Georgia sharply decreased in 2019 by 6,88 times in annual comparison and made up $35,788.9 thousand, APA’s Georgian bureau reports.

This was stated in the report of Georgia’s National Statistics Department. It was noted that in 2019, the volume of direct foreign investments made to this country increased by $4 483.7 thousand or 0.3% in annual comparison $1,310,773.7 thousand. While in 2018, this indicator equaled to $1,306,290.0 thousand.

In 2019, the direct foreign investments in the volume of $656,317.4 thousand were made in Georgia by the European Union countries, $139,184.2 thousand - by the CIS countries, and $6,883.7 thousand – by the international organizations.
