Azerbaijan’s debt in euros unveiled

As of January 1, 2021, the volume of Azerbaijan’s foreign debt has been equal to USD 8 822 bln, APA-Economics reports.

This is stated in the opinion of the Chamber of Accounts on the draft law "on the implementation of the state budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2020" and the annual report on the implementation of the state budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2020.

Noted that when it comes to the distribution of the foreign trade debt on currencies, 81,6% of the debt is in US dollars and 8,6% in euros. At the same time, 4,4% of the debt is IMF special drawing rights (SDR), 3,6 of the debt is Japanese yen, and another 2% is the currencies.
