In January-April of this year, the volume of the trade turnover conducted by Azerbaijan with the European Union (EU) countries made up USD 3,993 billion which is 6,5% less more as compared with the same period of 2020, says the results of the calculation conducted by APA-Economics on the basis of the indicators issued by the State Customs Committee.
In January-April, the volume of export to EU made up USD 3,310 bln., while import was USD 683,555 mln which is 7,3% and 1,9% less respectively in annual comparison.
So, in January-April of the current year, the positive trade balance amounted to USD 2,626 bln. developed which is 8,7% less in comparison to the same period of 2020.
In April alone, the volume of trade turnover conducted by Azerbaijan with the EU made up USD 1,547 bln, which is 2,5 times more compared with March.
The volume of export made up USD 1,347 bln, while the volume of import was USD 200,138 mln. It is 2,9 times and 33,2% more respectively in monthly comparison.
As a result, the positive trade balance amounted to USD 1,146 bln. made up in April which is 3,6 times more compared with March.
