Azerbaijan's positive trade balance with EU increased by 65%

In January-August of this year, the volume of trade turnover of Azerbaijan with the EU countries made up USD 8,473 bln. which is 35,8% more comparing with the same period of 2020, according to the calculations conducted by APA-Economics based on the indicators published by State Customs Committee.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan’s export to the EU made up USD 7,020 bln, while the import was USD 1,453 bln. Export increased by 46%, while import by 1,5% in annual comparison.

As a result, during 8 months of the current year, Azerbaijan’s positive trade balance with the EU was USD 5,566 bln. which is 64,8% more in annual comparison.
