By the end of the current year, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) will get approximately USD 200 million in currency reserves management, Chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan Elman Rustamov told reporters, APA reports.
According to him, currently, the currency reserves of CBA are more than USD 6 bln.: “The interference of our reserves in the market is slight, that is why they are increasing conservatively. The main source is the revenue from the management of the total currency reserves.”
E. Rustamov added that to increase reserves is not the primary object of the bank. On the contrary, the neutrality of the CBA's currency reserves indicates that the bank does not interfere in the market.
