EBRD's active portfolio in Azerbaijan decreased, the number of projects increased

As of May 31 of this year, the volume of active portfolio of European Bank for Reconstruction and Development on Azerbaijan made up 1,124 bln. euros over 36 projects. This figure compared with the last indicator presented by the Bank (April 30) decreased by 2,5%. However, the number of active projects increased from 35 to 36 in May, the EBRD told APA-Economics.

It has been noted that 77% of the portfolio (869 mln. euros) is investments in sustainable infrastructure, 21% (235 mln. euros) industry, trade, and agribusiness investments, and 2% is investments in financial institutions. The volume of operating assets in the country decreased by 2,8% and was 986 mln euros in May.
