In September the prices of consumption goods and services increased by 2,6 % compared to the same period of the previous year and this is a lower figure from the 4±2 percentage target of Azerbaijan Central Bank, according to Azerbaijan Monthly Economic Update - November 2019 report of World Bank (WB), APA-Economics reports.
Recalling that Azerbaijani Government forecasted that the inflation will be 3,8 % by the end of the current year.
According to the report, the prices of food products increased by 5 % in September compared to the same period of the previous year, the inflation on prices of non-food products remained unchanged.
The report states that as a response to this, in October, the executive board of CB has adopted a decision decreasing the interest rate by 25 base points to lower from 8,00% to 7,75%.
