S&P: Azerbaijan’s population displays interest in digital channels due to the low expansion of bank branches in country

The population of Azerbaijan displays interest in digital channels, said Dmitry Nazarov the analyst of Standard & Poor's (S&P) speaking at the IV International Banking Forum, APA-Economics reports.

According to him, the expanding rate of bank branches in Azerbaijan is lower than in the region and in general according to the statistics and this fact can make people display interest in digital channels.

“We must talk about the risks that await ahead, not the strengths and weaknesses of this process during the transformation to digital banking in Azerbaijan”, added D. Nazarov.
