In January-August of this year, the volume of the trade exchange with Iran conducted by Azerbaijan amounted to US$ 256,011 mln., which is 25.4% more as compared with the same period of 2020, according to the calculations conducted by "APA-Economics" on the basis of the State Customs Committee’s report.
Last year, the volume of Azerbaijan’s export to Iran amounted to US$ 19,236 thousand which is 14.6% less in annual comparison.
And the volume of Azerbaijan’s imports from Iran amounted to US$ 236,775 mln., and this indicator has increased by 30.3% in annual comparison.
As a result, the negative balance amounting to US$ 217,539 mln. was formed during the reporting period which is 36.7% more on a year-on-year basis.
