Trade turnover increases by 3.1% in Baku

In January-July of the current year, the volume of trade turnover in Baku increased by 3.1% compared to the same period of 2018 and amounted to AZN 11 533, 2 mln., APA-Economics reports citing Baku Statistics Committee.

Foodstuffs, beverages and tobacco products sold at the commodity exchange market increased by 3.4% compared to the same period of the previous year and amounted to AZN 5 267, 7 mln., while the volume of non-food products increased by 3.1% amounted to AZN 6 265, 5 million.

According to the report, 27.9% of consumer products were sold in entities with legal status, 46.1% - in private property owned by individual entrepreneurs and 26% - in capital’s product markets.
