Azerbaijan spends AZN 4B on social defence, education and health this year

In January-October 2017, state budget revenues stood at AZN 13,557,100,000, expenditures at AZN 14,150,200,000, relevantly up 12% and 13.5% from previous year.

According to State Statistical Committee, the budget deficit amounted to AZN 593.1 million, which made up 1.1% of GDP.

In the structure of the revenues, AZN 3.043 billion or 22.4% came from VAT, AZN 2,072,300,000 or 15.3% from profit (income) tax of legal entities, AZN 867.3 million or 6.4% from income tax of individuals, AZN 506.8 million or 3.7% from excises, 10.8% from other taxes, 41.4% from untaxable incomes.

As for expenditures, 27.1% or AZN 3,830,600,000 was spent on economic development and regulation, 15.4% or AZN 2,174,200,000 on social defence and social security, 14.5% or AZN 2.057 billion on common state services, 13% or AZN 1,841,500,000 on education and health, 30% or AZN 3,141,200,000 on other fields.

Remind that state revenues in January-November 2017 made up AZN 14,749,300,000, expenditures AZN 15,463,100,000, budget deficit amounted to AZN 713.8 million or 1.1% of GDP.
