As of March 1, 2017, total foreign liabilities of Azerbaijan-based commercial banks stood at AZN 7,551,300,000, up AZN 99.7 million or 1.35% from previous year.
Central Bank of Azerbaijan said the external borrowing decreased AZN 560.4 million or 6.94% in February 2017.
Since early 2017, the external borrowing have increased AZN 286.5 million or 3.96%.
As of March 1, 2017, banks’ total foreign assets stood at AZN 3,876,000,000, down AZN 3,474,400,000 or 47.27% in comparison to a year earlier. Compared to previous months, total foreign assets declined AZN 137 million or 3.41% in February.
