Azerbaijan gets more than 17% decline in consumer lending

As of March 1, 2018, Azerbaijan-based credit organizations’ provision of crediting made up AZN 11,561,100,000, down AZN 4,317,500,000 or 27.19% from previous year, Central Bank of Azerbaijan told APA-Economics.

Household loans amounted to AZN 4,575,300,000 or 39.6% of provision of crediting, down AZN 953,200,000 or 17.24% compared to a year earlier.

Moreover, 17.3% of consumption loans fell to share of trade and services, 8.5% - transport and communication, 5.7% - industry and production, 4.5% - construction and property, 3.8% to agriculture and processing, 2.7% to energy, chemistry and natural resources.
