Ministry of Taxes undergoes substantial structural changes

As part of the ongoing economic reforms including the tax reforms, Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Taxes, on the presidential order dated 4 Aug.2016 on the directions of tax reforms to be carried out in 2016 and improvement of tax administration, has undergone substantial structural reforms aimed at ensuring the execution of tasks, efficient use of staff potential in tax authorities, and developing a more advanced and modern management

The Main Department of Analysis of Tax Crime and Tax Debt Collection and the Tax Audit and Operative Control Department have been liquidated and replaced with the new departments of control on the execution of tax legislation and control on the execution of tax liabilities.

The Main Department of Taxpayer Services has been replaced with the new department of taxpayter services and transparent tax partnership.

The Baku City Tax Department and the Taxes Department No. 1 have been replaced with the new Special Revenue Department under the Ministry of Taxes and the Local Revenue Department under the Ministry of Taxes, and the Baku City Department on Small Entrepreneurship.
