As of February 1, 2017, number of hired workers made 1,510,400, including 883,000 workers in state sector, 627,400 in non-state sector.
According to the State Statistical Committee, 22.2% hired workers worked in education, 19.4% in trade; repair of transport facilities, 12.9% in industry, 8.7% in medical and social service for population,6% in construction, 4.6% in transport and storehouse, 3.5% in professional, scientific and technical activity, 3.1% in agriculture, forestry and fishery, 1.6% in finance and insurance and 10.9% in other spheres.
Average monthly salary of the hired workers rose 5.1% to AZN 504.8.
