Retail trade turnover nears AZN 13B in Azerbaijan

In January-May 2017 the worth of products sold in retail trade network amounted to AZN 12.9 billion, up 1.9% from previous year.

According to State Statistical Committee, the consumers spent AZN 6.5 billion of their incomes to food products, drinks and tobacco products in retail trade networks, AZN 6.4 billion to non-food products, relevantly up 0.8% and 2.9% by contrast to 2016.

In the retail trade network, the population spent 45.2% to food products, 5.3% to drinks and tobacco products, 18.0% to textile products, clothes and shoes, 6.3% to electrical products and furniture, 5.0% to fuel, 1.3% to pharmacological and medical products, 0.7% to computers, telecommunication equipments and printing products, 18.2% to other non-food products.

Per head retail trade turnover stood at AZN 266.2, up AZN 37.2 from 2016.
