Ansu Fati injures his hip in Barcelona training session on Friday

Barcelona forward Ansu Fati injured his hip in training on Friday and is set to miss the first friendly of pre-season against Gimnastic on Saturday, APA-Sport reports.

A Barça statement said: "LATEST NEWS Ansu Fati has a right hip contusion, which he suffered during Friday’s training session. He is out and his recovery will determine his availability."

Ansu, 17, returned to training this week following a week away with the Spain national side, where he became the country's youngest ever goalscorer.

He is set to play a big role for Barca this season but will not be involved when the Ronald Koeman era begins at the John Cruyff this weekend against Nastic.
