Manchester City have completed the £60 million signing of Portugal right back, Joao Cancelo, from Juventus, APA reports citing The Telegraph.
Cancelo, 25, has signed a six-year contract with the Premier League champions until June 2025.
The move sees the Brazil right back, Danilo, leave in the opposite direction to Juventus in a £34.2m deal. Danilo has signed a five-year deal with the Turin giants. Cancelo’s arrival takes City’s outlay on full-backs to £194m in two years. He becomes the club's third summer signing after Spain midfielder Rodri and left back Angelino and takes their gross spending to over £128m
“City are a fantastic club, with a brilliant manager [Pep Guardiola] and I am delighted to be here. Everything about them has impressed me, from the facilities, to their style of play. I am always looking to develop my game and win trophies and I believe I can do that here, so now I’m really looking forward to the new season and testing myself in the Premier League,” said Cancelo, who will wear the No. 27 shirt.
