A meeting of the Azerbaijan-Israel Intergovernmental Commission was held today, APA reports that Israeli Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi wrote on Twitter.
"I am pleased to co-chair the meeting of the Israeli-Azerbaijani Intergovernmental Commission with Minister Mikayil Jabbarov today. The fruitful discussions reflect the friendship between us," he said.
Noting that Azerbaijan is planning to open official tourism and trade bureaus in Israel this year, Ashkenazi welcomed it.
"This is an important step towards the opening of the Azerbaijani embassy in Israel," he said.
