On 9 May 2020, Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov held a telephone conversation with the Foreign Minister of Tajikistan, Sirojiddin Muhriddin, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told APA.
The sides exchanged congratulatory messages on the occasions of the holy month of Ramadan, as well as the 75th Anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
The Ministers had a general exchange of view over the steps taken by the countries to fight global health crisis and the importance of cooperation to this end.
The actual issues of the bilateral cooperation agenda between the brotherly countries, the broadening of economic cooperation including the transport logistics sphere were thoroughly discussed by the Ministers.
The sides also touched upon the issues of cooperation within the international organizations and agreed to enhance the existing cooperation in the future.
