The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan has extended condolences of the Ukrainian plane crash 176 people on board, APA reports.
"It's with great sorrow that we've heard the news of Fly Uia plane crash taking lives of all 176 people on board near Tehran. We are extending our deepest sympathy and condolences to the bereaved families and friends on their tragical loss," the MFA wrote on Twitter.
Note that Ukrainian airliner carrying at least 170 passengers crashed on Wednesday due to technical problems soon after taking off from Tehran’s Imam Khomeini airport and all aboard were killed.
Recall that Azerbaijan's Embassy in Iran has reported that no information has been received on the presence of Azerbaijani citizens among persons killed in the plane crash.
