"Everything will depend on how Armenia behaves. Because the first two ceasefires were thwarted by Armenia," President Ilham Aliyev said on October 26 in an interview with the Italian TV channel Rai-1, answering the question "Will this new truce, this new ceasefire work?"

The President noted that after the first ceasefire, which was conditioned by humanitarian considerations, Armenia violated the ceasefire for 24 hours: “Moreover, in a barbaric manner, firing a ballistic missile at the city of Ganja at night. As a result of the first shelling, 10 people were killed and many were injured. Then they hit Ganja again, again at night. Then there were more victims. So we had to answer.

As for the second truce, we have a chronology of Armenia’s violation of the truce. Literally two minutes after the appointed hour of the truce, they broke it. Today from 8 o'clock a new truce came into force. Now we have 10 o'clock in the morning in Baku. From 8 o'clock, about 3-4 minutes later, several shells were fired again at the city of Tartar. We do not react to this. We hope this was an accident. But if this continues, naturally, we will have to respond adequately. "
