Baku hosts EU-Azerbaijan meeting

On April 26-27, 2021, 9the meeting of the European Union (EU) - the Azerbaijan Sub-Committee on Justice, Freedom and Security, Human Rights and Democracy has been held in Baku, Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry told APA.

The meeting has been co-chaired by Deputy Foreign Minister Mahmud Mammad-Guliyev from the Azerbaijani side, and the head of the Eastern Partnership Division of the European External Action Service (EEAS) Richard Tibbels from the EU side.

On the first day of the meeting, discussions were held on civil, economic, political, and social rights between the parties in the field of human rights and democracy; a national framework for the protection of human rights, as well as cooperation in international human rights forums.
