On November 18, the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Šefik Džaferović made a phone call to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, APA reports citing the Presidential Press Service.
Šefik Džaferović welcomed the signing of a statement on the restoration of peace in the Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan.
He noted that the signing of this statement, based on the norms and principles of morality, justice, and international law, will bring stability to the whole region and open new prospects.
Mr. Džaferović also informed the President of the position of Bosnia and Herzegovina in support of the territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the relevant resolution adopted by the Parliamentary Assembly of his country in this regard.
During the telephone conversation, President Ilham Aliyev briefed SŠefik Džaferović on all the details of the signed statement and its implementation, as well as the current situation in the region.
President Ilham Aliyev praised the principled position of the Chairman of the Presidium of Bosnia and Herzegovina Šefik Džaferović on the issue of supporting the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
During the telephone conversation, it was noted that there are high-level friendly relations between the two countries, and there are great opportunities for expanding economic ties.
At the same time, the parties agreed to hold reciprocal official visits at the highest level when the situation with the coronavirus pandemic allows.
