Hikmat Hajiyev: "We also appealed to Armenia through Kasprzyk , to withdraw missile units from Khankendi"

“Armenian side always stresses one point in the communication with international media that Azerbaijan allegedly fired on civilian facilities located in Khankandi. I would like to stress that the Azerbaijani side, Azerbaijani Army does not carry out attacks against civilians” said Assistant of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Head of Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev at the briefing held for representatives of diplomatic corps at the ADA University, APA reports.

He noted that 2-3 missile units used against Tartar and other cities of Azerbaijan had been placed in Khankendi: “As well as there had been placed large missile and other ammunition depots of Armenian side there. We have also appealed to the Armenian side through international channels on October 2-3 through the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk to remove such facilities from Khankendi. Because it is a moral issue. However, after this appeal Armenian side launched a tougher attack against Tartar. And we had to destroy those military facilities located in Khankandi. Unfortunately, the Armenian side deploys such military facilities in the territory where civilians populated. In such cases, sometimes civilians can be harmed. However, this cannot be compared with the losses of the Azerbaijani side.”
