A commemoration ceremony for victims of Khojaly Genocide has been held in Jewish Museum and Tolerance Center in Moscow in the framework of “Justice for Khojaly!” campaing, carried out with initiatives of Vice President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.

Russian famous public and political figures, ambassadors, military attachés of several countries, and representatives of Azerbaijan’s Diaspora have attended the ceremony, held with organization of Heydar Aliyev Foundation and Azerbaijani Embassy to Russia.

Speaking at the commemoration ceremony Azerbaijan’s Embassy to Russia Polad Bulbuloghlu stated Khojaly Genocide is a real massacre, committed with special brutality. The diplomat thoroughly informed on the history of Khojaly Genocide and stressed that although 28 years passed from the Khojaly Genocide, wounds of Azerbaijani people have not yet recovered: “It is impossible to erase and close the tragic page from history of Azerbaijani people. If someone hopes that position of our state may change as time passes, these expectations are in vain.”
