“I am glad that we have relations developing in various fields with Azerbaijan ,” Latvian FM Edgar Rinkevics said at a joint press conference held with his counterpart Elmar Mammadyarov.
The head of Latvian MFA stated that they have discussed cooperation issues covering various fields with his Azerbaijani counterpart: “We discussed high level dialogue between two countries to be continued, political and economic relations, the importance of holding a meeting of intergovernmental commission that scheduled for the next year. I am very glad that we have relations developing in various fields between two countries.”
The minister noted that the flights between the two countries are implemented only in summer season, but regular flights between two countries can impact positively on the relations.
Edgar Rinkevics stressed that Latvia is interested in learning the role and view of Azerbaijan in cooperation that is a member of Eastern Partnership.
