“We are very glad that the relations between Azerbaijan and Russia are developing in all directions,” said the Chairperson of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matviyenko at the meeting with the Chairperson of Azerbaijani Parliament Sahiba Gafarova, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.
Matviyenko expressed satisfaction with the cooperation between the two countries in the international arena. According to her, the two countries are developing cooperation within the CIS, OSCE, PACE, and BSEC Parliamentary Assemblies: “We hope that in November we will hold the next meeting of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly visually. Online contacts continue. But there is a need for visual meetings. We hope that you will be able to attend the next meeting of the Assembly in St. Petersburg.”
