Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Mikail Jabbarov met with Mr. Alessandro Fracassetti, UNDP Resident Representative for Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Economy told APA-Economics.
During the meeting, M. Jabbarov noted that Azerbaijan effectively cooperates with various specialized UN agencies, within the framework of this cooperation several documents have been signed and joint projects have been implemented.
During the meeting, information was provided on the measures taken by the Azerbaijani government in order to eliminate the negative impact of the pandemic on the economy, and the support provided by UNDP in this direction was highly assessed.
It was emphasized that UNDP conducted surveys in 2020-2021 to assess the impact of the coronavirus on micro, small and medium-sized businesses in Azerbaijan (KOB), offered its assistance in developing a competition package for FGM in the direction of eliminating the consequences of the pandemic and war.
Alessandro Fracassetti, Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in the Republic of Azerbaijan, noted that the organization he represents carries out effective cooperation in a number of areas with our country, stressed that UNDP plans to provide support in carrying out restoration work in the territories liberated from occupation.
