Ali Asadov: “What were Armenian servicemen doing in Yukhari Ayrim village of Kalbajar on May 27 at 3:00 a.m?”

Meeting of Council of Heads of Governments of the Independence Commonwealth States was held on May 28, press service of the Cabinet of Ministers told APA.

Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov has delivered a speech at the meeting. Ali Asadov has made a speech with a report on the agenda of the meeting.

He noted that strengthening mutual relations in socio-economic and humanitarian fields will also create condition for comprehensive development of cooperation in the CIS atmosphere from now on. Prime Minister informed about urgent measures, taken for prevention of spread of coronavirus infection in Azerbaijan and elimination of negative impact of the pandemic on economy.

Touching upon the incident on May 27, PM noted that a group of armed persons from Armenia attempted to cross the state border in the direction of Yukhari Ayrim residential settlement of Kalbajar district, as a result 6 Armenian servicemen were disarmed and taken prisoner. Appealing to members of the Council of Heads of CIS Governments, Ali Asadov said: “Respectful counterparts, I have a question to acting Armenian PM and You: What were Armenian servicemen doing in Yukhari Ayrim village of Kalbajar district of the Republic of Azerbaijan on May 27 at 3:00 a.m? Why were they mining our territories?”
