Assistant to Azerbaijani President: Armenia bears direct responsibility for the deaths of journalists in the mine explosion

“The fact of the mine explosion once again shows that the Armenian side pursues a policy that deliberately targets Azerbaijani civilians,” said Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev, APA reports.

H. Hajiyev noted that in internationally accepted documents, the activities of journalists during military operations can be equated with those of civilians: “In other words, the murder or killing of a journalist, being a victim of mine explosion is a criminal act at the level of crimes against civilians. Armenia bears direct responsibility for this crime.”
